Knead makes bread using traditional methods of natural sourdough, and long, slow fermentation. This process creates breads that taste better, last longer, and are better for you. Our breads and pastries are baked fresh every day, and delivered to select restaurants, cafes and markets.

BAGUETTE
This is a long thin loaf of French bread origin, produced using a slow overnight cold fermentation process, which enhance all the flavours. A Knead baguette is distinguishable by its length/shape and slightly crisp golden crackled crust and a slightly soft and moderately opened structured crumb.
BARLEY, POTATO & ROSEMARY BREAD
Robust flavoured bread which works well with other strong flavours such as wild rocket pesto caramelised red onion, balsamic marmalade and olive tapenade. Perfect for a simple tomato and steak sandwich, or a great bread to bring for a braai.
BRiOCHE
Brioche is a traditional white, highly enriched French bread. The high egg and butter content give it a rich and tender crumb. It is enriched with the best quality local butter and flavoured with a hint of orange zest. It has a light and slightly cake like texture and has a dark, golden, and flaky crust.
BUTTERMILK RYE
A bread made from 70% rye flour and 30% white wheat Flour including buttermilk. A beautiful bread produced using a slow overnight cold fermentation process, which enhance all the flavour of the rye berries thereby giving it a slightly sour yet soft delicate crumb with a well-developed sweet crust.
CIABATTA
Made using traditional methods a full flavoured Italian loaf with a beautiful rustic appearance and a moist and chewy crumb. This renowned ‘slipper’ bread tends to be short, wide, or long with crispy crusts and deliberate air bubbles within the crumb.
CIABATTA - OLIVE & ROSEMARY
Made the traditional way, this ciabatta has a moist and chewy crumb with a beautiful rustic appearance. This variation of the traditional ciabatta has a generous amount of local black olives and fresh rosemary.
CRANBERRY, DATE & PECAN NUT BREAD
A beautiful bread produced using a slow overnight cold fermentation process, which enhance all the flavours. This loaf features a golden, crackled crust and a firm, moderately opened structured crumb with a satisfying, tangy flavor. It is made with pecan nuts, dayes and cranberries. This rustic-looking loaf has a moist and fruity crumb
GLUTEN FREE
Our gluten free bread is made with 5 types of gluten free flour each with their own beneficial health benefits

KITKA
This is a special Jewish braided bread eaten on Sabbath and holidays. Amongst the origins of the word Kitka, is the name of the plaited dough from which the Kitka is made, extra rich with white flour, sugar and eggs added.
LOW CARB
Our Low Carb bread is made with Flax Seed Powder, Psyllium Husks, Xylitol, Desiccated Coconut, Ground Fennel Seed, Ground Caraway Seed, Baking Powder, Salt, Sesame Seeds, Sunflower Seeds, Flax Seeds, Pumpkin Seeds, Olive Oil, Eggs (whole), Water, Full Cream Milk.
MULTIGRAIN SEEDED HEALTH BREAD
Full of grain and goodness and heaped with roasted seeds making it nutty and slightly fruity in flavour (especially when produced using the slow overnight cold fermentation process) with a crisp outer crust.
SAN FRANCISCO MUESLI BREAD
A beautiful bread produced using a slow overnight cold fermentation process, which enhance all the flavours. This loaf features a golden, crackled crust and a firm, moderately opened structured crumb with a satisfying, tangy flavor. Our Muesli Bread is made with pecan nuts, apricots, raisins, cranberries and rolled oats.
SAN FRANCISCO SOURDOUGH

TURKISH
Kneads Turkish bread loaf is very like the ciabatta. It made using traditional methods it has a beautiful rustic appearance with a soft golden crust and a moist, light and slightly cake like chewy texture with deliberate air bubbles within the crumb.
100% RYE
Made with 100% rye. A wheat-free bread and good for the heart. Full of flavour and keeps well for a couple of days.
CROISSANT
All our croissants are created from start to finish in our bakery and made with real butter. The whole process takes three days from the time the dough is mixed, rested, laminated, cut, proofed, baked to perfection. We offer the following range in both full size and cocktail baked, or frozen unbaked :
